Its back for another year. Following on from the ground breaking Ozi VFR tour from last year comes the next section of this very popular tour
The Australian division is proud to release our Outback VFR Adventure. The tour is not like others. You will not just takeoff from an airport and land at the next. You’re going to have to work a little for this one.
You will arrive in Australia as a pilot on an exchange program to work for a small GA airline. Each leg will have a detailed list of your flight path and who or why you will be doing the flight, and all this information is available right on your kneeboard. All charts details can also be found on the board. We have also provided a little information on the area you’re flying over so you will get to learn a few things about our corner of the world. You will need to download and install VOZ scenery to be able to find all reference points, and with that this tour is only available to uses of FS2004.
You will also need to install our kneeboard. Your current kneeboard will be backed up as part of the install process. It can be downloaded (here)
While the legs where planed around a B350, No aircrafts larger than a Dash 8 will be allowed, and small jets are not allowed.
You will need to fly the leg as instructed, including altitudes for the leg to be validated.
So there is the rundown, get yourself to Alice Springs airport (YBAS) for the start of your first shift.
If you do a good job on this rotation then we may invite you back next year when we do two more states.

Take a helicopter tour of South Australia. You will depart Parafield airport and head north before heading south.
On the way round you will go through Woomera.
This is where the British had nuclear testing during the 1950's, so lookout for glowing tree's and animal.
There may not be many legs but be warned, that there are a number of legs well over 100nm, so find a fast helicopter.

Division IFR Award
In this event you will start at Perth (the world’s most isolated city) and fly east across Australia and then via oceanic routes to New Zealand where you will fly the length of the country before heading back to Australia, around the coast and back to New Zealand.
There is also a quick diversion into Papua New Guinea landing at Port Moresby International airport before returning to the Australian mainland.
This is a tour with a difference in that it covers the best of both continents and provides a number of opportunities to experience oceanic ATC control.
The tour travels along 13,584 nautical miles, in 21 legs across 2 continents of complete terrain and procedural contrast. Definitely an experience not to be miss
* The tour includes an number of different airport types from major internationals where SIDs and STARs are the order of the day (yes we insist that you fly the appropriate SID and STAR for each leg where applicable) to some larger regional airports where instrument approach and MBZ are the rules of the day.
* There are some interesting challenges also along the way. We have one airport completely surrounded by high mountains, whilst some others have difficult approaches or typically windy conditions that can create some havoc.

Division IFR Award
The Oceania Tour 2007 is a tour with a difference. Each participating division has created a section of a tour that starts and finishes where their neighbouring division tours start and finish. Essentially it is 5 tours in one with each tour (or section) managed by the appropriate division.
What a way to tour Oceania and experience the beauty and ruggedness each of these countries has to offer!
You can start the tour in any of the 5 participating divisions but must then follow a continuous route back to the starting point.
If you start in Australia, your first flight will depart Cairns and the last flight will terminate in Hobart.
From Hobart the next part of your tour will be managed by the New Zealand division until you arrive in Tahiti and so on until you arrive back in Cairns.
When you complete each divisional section, your details will be forwarded to the next division on your route until you have completed your flight through all 5 divisions.
On completion of all legs you will be awarded the Aviation Celebration and Tours Award by the Division in which you finish.

Take a helicopter tour of the southeast corner of Australia. You will depart Bankstown airport and head for the snowy river mountains, the only place in Australia that gets snow in winter.
From the Snowy's you will then head west and follow the Murray river which is the longest river in Australia. This river is to Oz what the Mississippi river is to the United States.
This is also some of the stamping grounds of our most famous outlaw, you know the one, the one that terrorized this area with a mailbox on his head. Yes that's right, where talking about Ned Kelly. As you follow the river you will head out over the farm lands of Victoria. Other places of interest are Ballerat, Swan Hill and Geelong.
Near the end of your tour you will over fly Avalon where the biggest airshow in the southern hemisphere is held every year. Feel free to fly around and check out the area as you fly along. While addon scenery is not required for this tour, a greater feel will be had if you install the VOZ scenery for Australia which is available from the main Ozi IVAO website. So fuel up your chopper and file your flightplans. Its time to fly
